“A People Centered City, Transformed into a Progressive Community of Destination with Highly Competent People Thriving in a Vibrant Economy”
It was my first time at my first time San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, and honestly speaking, I was surprised with the ongoing developments of the area. I've heard stories that before, it used to be just a barren place with grass and trees. There are no establishments and worse, it's completely dark at night because there are no infrastructure. Years pass y, San Jose Del Monte was known for being the "relocation site" for people who have lost their homes through fire and other reasons, they come from Makati, Manila and other towns in Mtero Manila. With the growing number of residents, it's only natural that the government should do something to make the city a better place to live in.
This is what Mayor Arthur Robes and Congresswoman Florida Robes, the power duo, has been doing for the past years.
The City of San Jose del Monte (SJDM) comprises 59 barangays and encompasses a total land area of 10,553 hectares (based on data from the Land Management Bureau). The Local Government Unit (LGU), however, claims an actual territorial area of 31,294 hectares which include disputed land areas with adjacent municipalities. Based on the National Statistics Office Survey, SJDM registered a population of 315,807 in 2000.
Located at the northeast periphery of Metro Manila, the City is bounded by the Bulacan municipalities of Marilao and Santa Maria on the west, and Norzagaray on the north. Quezon province lies to its east, Rizal Province to its southeast and Kalookan City to its south. Quirino Highway serves as the main road which allows SJDM access to Norzagaray on the north and Kalookan City on the south. The City is likewise accessible from Santa Maria on its west via the Santa Maria-Tungkong Mangga Provincial Road.
SJDM was proclaimed the first City of Bulacan on 10 September 2000. In the Provincial Physical Framework Plan for 1998 to 2007, about one third of the City is proposed as an Urban Expansion Area. This same area lies along the Norzagaray-SJDM Growth Corridor, one of the three growth corridors proposed for the province of Bulacan.
The city also has a lot of tourist destination like a variety of resorts, natural falls, mountains and churches to visit like Mt. Balagbag, Kaytitinga Falls, Grotto Vista Resort, Villa Antonio de Dave Resort and Leisure Farm, Los Arcos de Hermano Resort and Paradise Adventure Camp. There's also San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila Parish, St. Joseph The Worker Parish Church and lastly, the popular destination come Holy Week - Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto.
Some of the government facilities are as follows:
Veterinary Hospital
Command Center City's Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office
Convention Center
Wing Van that can be used for emergency and calamities
To provide better living to the residents, the city government, hand in hand, they continuously build facilities that the public can use and also where the officials can serve them better. In order to provide for the successful implementation of the City’s vision, goals and objectives, an institutional framework that is able to respond to the demands, concerns and requirements of each development sector shall be adopted.

The City Government is also proud to present that they have a BUSINESS ONE-STOP-SHOP where processing is reduced to just three (3) steps.
Mayor Arthur Robes and Congresswoman Florida Robes shares details about their upcoming facilities and projects.
The city of San Jose Del Monte is poised to become one of the most promising cities in Central Luzon. Indeed, the city shows a real potential of becoming a most preferred and investment-friendly destination. The city is committed to develop a conducive environment that encourages profitability and growth. This is why some of their plans include a City College, IT Hub, Sports Complex that includes a Olympic size swimming pool, St. Bernadette Children's and Maternity Hospital, a new and modern Ospital ng Lungsod plus People's Park. Some of the new destinations will also be built in the city like the new and big compound of ABS-CBN plus a development of Ayala Malls, just like Nuvali.
