Manila Ocean Park: Deep Sea Rush Experience

The Manila Ocean Park offers a variety of activities that will certainly give you a lot of enjoyment. This is not only for kids but also for everyone who want to experience different kinds of fun and excitement.
Since it's the start of the summer, more and more people together with their whole family are visiting the marine theme park.
For our itinerary that day, we were scheduled for the DEEP SEA RUSH 6 which includes Oceanarium, Symphony evening show, Jellies Exhibit, Sea Lion Show, Sharks & Ray Dry Encounter and Back of the House.
Our first stop is the The Barnyard.
We bought three packs of bird seeds so that we feeds more birds inside and I'm really excited to try this.
Upstairs you will find cute mini houses of the love birds and most of them are occupied, there are even nests inside with eggs too.
Feeding the love birds is truly a fun experience, these cute little love birds are very gentle and truly adorable, good thing they all look really healthy and the place is neat, every corner is filled with a small container of clean water whenever they want to drink or take a plunge on it. I once had pigeons and I know how to take care of these friendly birds too.
Next stop is at the Sharks & Rays Encounter.
Marine life trainers provide basic information about these creatures and you can reach out to them separated by an acrylic panel. There's no need to get wet or change clothes. The touch and feel contact heightens your appreciation to care for the ocean and its inhabitants. This is ideal for school tours and large group bookings.
The Sting Ray greeted us as we enter the place. They're swimming effortlessly in the big transparent pool and I can say through the years that they've stayed here at Manila Ocean Park, they're more at ease whenever they see people around. They glide effortlessly in the water too.

One can either experience interacting with the sting rays via the park’s dry encounter where you only get to touch these animals from above or through their Aquanaut full body encounter.
The shark is hiding on the other side of the pool, a bit shy though.

The mesmerizing dancing sea fairies or the Jelly Fish Exhibit can be found at the Jellies Dancing Sea fairies.
The Jellies Exhibit has various species with a fascinating display of multi-media effects and breathtaking music. There are plenty of mirrors inside as well, looking at each jelly fish can truly be fascinating.

The Oceanarium is home to 14,000 marine creatures from around 277 species, all indigenous to the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
The Oceanarium is the heart of Manila Ocean Park. It is subdivided into seven sections, from a rainforest-like open area holding eight huge tanks filled with gigantic freshwater fishes dubbed as Agos, to the Bahura, which is housed on a dark room filled with pockets of aquariums set up with saltwater corals, colorful fishes and other sea creatures.
Schools of fishes can be seen here at the Oceanarium and time flies so fast when you finally get to enter this part of Manila Ocean Park.
At the heart of the Oceanarium is the main attraction - a 25 meter long, 220° curved walkway tunnel with a spectacular underwater view of amazing sea creatures swimming overhead.
Of course, I didn't let the opportunity pass without taking a photo at this famous and world class spot.
Next is the Sea Lion Show which features sea lions from South America that do tricks such as balancing and kissing. The show was funny and fun. Most of the kids around who witness the show can't hide and excitement from watching this show. The sea lions responded well to their trainers and did well with their tricks.
This is one of the most awaited shows at Manila Ocean Park and a lot of people who went here look forward to the kissing experience with the seal.

And to cap our Manila Ocean Park experience, we watched the Symphony Evening Show.
Using the latest multimedia technology, Symphony is a majestic display of huge water fountains, the tallest in the Philippines reaching 40 meters or 120 feet. Symphony has more depth, creating a 2D effect as you enter an ethnic and mysterious world filled with new entertaining animated marine life characters in breathtaking fluid motion and vibrancy.

All in all, my experience at Manila Ocean Park was indeed a memorable one. Even though there a lot of people, I enjoyed every part of Manila Ocean Park and its good that they have a lot of food joints inside the area just in case you get hungry while roaming around. You can also buy souvenirs at Manila Ocean Park.

Hi Ms.Grace thank you for this info,since you featured MOP to your blog,I would like to ask if ever lang na may alam ka po about sa opening days ng MOP incase of holiday season like New Years Eve.If they are open at December 31?thank you so much in advance for your response.
